ZogSports Brings the Fun to San Francisco

San Francisco, CA ZogSports, the nation’s largest charity-focused social sports league, is officially open in San Francisco.  San Francisco will be ZogSports’ seventh satellite location, joining New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, Connecticut, Atlanta and Los Angeles. ZogSports provides sports and social activities to over 80,000 young adults each year and has donated over $1.6 million to participants’ charities since opening in 2002.

“My friends in San Francisco have been asking me for years when we’re coming out here and I said, ‘When we find the right GM!’  We’re excited to have Nick Cruit on board,” says Founder and CEO, Robert Herzog.

“I’m excited to bring ZogSports to San Francisco because we offer a sports and social club that has something for everyone,” says ZogSportsSF General Manager Nick Cruit.  “There are some leagues in this city that are competitive and there are others that are all about partying. At ZogSportsSF, we are going to be great at both the sports and social aspects of our leagues— all with a charity focus tied in to everything we do.

ZogSportsSF will launch in San Francisco this March with their inaugural touch football and volleyball leagues. Early registration for both leagues is now open.

For San Francisco’s young professionals, ZogSportsSF is a unique local organization that makes it easy to play team sports, meet new people and enjoy exclusive happy hours.  It’s also a great opportunity to network with other young professionals and have fun.  “We strive to provide the highlight of your week. Whether it’s a diving catch on the field, meeting that special someone at the happy hour, or just simply getting out, being active, and hanging with your friends,” Herzog notes.

ZogSports’ co-ed leagues are for everyone from the former college athlete to the casual player. Following every game is a happy hour at a local bar where participants can enjoy special bar prices, drinking games, and socializing.

At the end of the season, monetary donations are made to charities designated by winning teams. Additionally, a percentage of all happy hour profits are donated to charity.

Players can sign-up as individuals, or as a small group (by simply adding your friends to a list during registration) or as a full team. Participants can save $100 off team fees and $10 off individual fees if they sign up before February 15, 2013.
